Reviews

Our number one priority is customer satisfaction

"Jose and Teo Giron were given a huge task in reroofing our 110 year old historically significant craftsman house with lots of different angles, bays and elevations in the NW hills of Boulder, all in a very tight timeframe. They quoted quite accurately and mobilized a highly experienced and professional crew in very short order. Their work was fantastic, as was their follow-up to tidy up some extremely minor cosmetic points I asked to be addressed (I am a real nitpicker). At all stages their top priority was doing a great job and ensuring I was completely happy with the outcome. Their follow-up once the job was done was exemplary. I would definitely recommend them, even if your home's roof is historic, difficult or large (or all three). Well done guys and thank you! "

"Would I recommend Giron for roof installation: Absolutely. Why? Great service, price, and customer care. After quoting with 3-4 companies I decided to move forward with Giron. Besides their price being great, they are not pushy at all. You get your quote and the explanation of their services and that's it. You don't get daily calls or being pushed to sign in the spot to get an additional discount, which more often than not is not a real discount. As a plus, and because my project was relatively small, I got it installed earlier than planned as they got an opening. And no surprise charges, I paid only what was estimated. "

"Giron roofing just finished putting a 40 year roof on my midsized house after 3.5 days of steady work. From the initial contact to the final inspection, I was impressed with their dedication in doing a job of which they could be proud. The day after I first contacted their office, their representative visited our home and provided a much needed education on the contemporary science of roof construction. This paved the way for me and my wife making informed decisions regarding the many options that need to be considered when re-roofing one's house. Giron roofing was one of 4 contractors that gave us bids; we chose them based on their 16 years of experience in the business, excellent reviews, appropriate advice on the costs of different options, the ability to get started within a couple of weeks and lack of pressure to close the deal. Moreover, they have an informative website where one can click on houses that they have re-roofed and learn details of the shingles etc. The workers were respectful of our need to have a a clear route into our garage and avoid damage to our trees and shrubs; unlike some dump trucks, their's had rubber wheels to avoid damage to one's driveway. At the end of the day their clean up left no evidence of the hive of activity that had been present over the preceding few days. The final cost was just under $20,000, with half paid on signing the contract and the rest paid after a satisfactory final inspection. "

"It was a great experience with this company. They did a really nice job on my roof. They were very fast and our tri-story house was completed in 1.5 days. The roof looks great and they cleaned up super nicely after the job was completed. We appreciate their great job."

"Boulder Roof Co installed a new roof on our house last year and did a great job. This Spring we had a tree fall on our roof and it broke some shingles. We contacted Giron to have the shingles repaired. To our amazement Giron agreed to replace the damaged shingles at no charge. We were expecting to pay because we didn't consider the damage a warranty issue. We are very impressed with Giron, they truly care about their customers. "

Consider the last time your roof was repaired or replaced and what material was used. Quality materials like asphalt shingles or aluminum metal can last 15 to 20 years or 30 to 50 years respectively.

If your roof is aging, has partial damage (e.g. broken shingles), or shows wear and tear from other conditions, it may be time to repair your roof. If the damage isn’t restricted to one area, it is a good idea (and a less expensive one) to replace the entire roof instead of repeatedly fixing section after section.

As a savvy consumer, you are mindful of costs and want to save money. But neglecting any repairs to your roof will actually cost you more down the line. Even if that cost is not in terms of damage, you can lose money if prospective buyers of your home anticipate they will have to make the repairs themselves. The result? Lower offers.

The best way to get a roof estimate is by hiring a professional who will work with you to find the right product to meet your needs. Estimating the cost of a new roof on your own could be very complicated. But if you choose to do it yourself, follow the steps below:

Determine the type of roof you have. Do you have a mansard roof? A gable roof? A lean-to roof? What about a hip roof? Is it for a rectangular or a square structure?

After you ascertain the type of roof you have, you must calculate the square footage needed for materials. Before any calculation can be done, establish the roof’s slope factor. Multiply the length of the building by the width of the building including overhangs.

Then multiply the area times the slope factor. Don’t forget to add 10% on gable roofs. If you have a cottage roof, add 17% for ridges, hips, and debris.

At Boulder Roof Co, we make certain that all costs are considered when we are providing you with an estimate. That way our estimates are fair and accurate.

When your roof is leaking or needs to be replaced, needless to say, you want the problem fixed as quickly as possible. Rest assured, the process is not as time consuming as you may think. However, replacing a residential roof is going to be a project that is labor-intensive. There are several factors to consider:

  • The type of roof
  • The roof’s size
  • The weather
  • The slope of the roof (which can add a more of a challenge to the project)

The realistic response is that it depends on the size of the dwelling. To get a more concrete answer, contact one of our knowledgeable professionals who can speak to you about the process.

It’s much more advantageous to hire a roofing professional in Boulder than to tackle the project on your own. Not only is the work potentially dangerous, but there are factors you might not have contemplated. The cost of materials, an accurate timeline, safety hazards, and your own level of expertise must all be considered before embarking on such a large venture.

Qualified roofing contractors will know how to correctly inspect your roof. They will be able to accurately identify the cause of any issues you currently have as well as potential threats in the future. One of the last things you want is to invest in having your roof repaired only to have a problem arise at a later date.

Finally, trained roofing professionals will have a variety of technology, tools, and equipment at their disposal. Not many people have the ability to conduct an infrared scan of their roof on their own, which is why a pro is needed.

The responsibility of maintaining the roof after it’s repaired falls primarily on the shoulders of the homeowner. Fortunately, there are several easy ways homeowners can preserve their roofs themselves.

The removal of debris is very important. Discard any leaves, branches or other objects that can accumulate on the roof in fall and winter. Ensure the roof is dry to help avoid slippage.

Inspect the attic or any other space between the ceiling and the roof. The presence of stains indicates there is water seeping into the residence. If stains are found, closely examine the roof for any shingles that may be loose, lifted or missing. Be vigilant of any mold that may have grown in the presence of moisture and have it removed as soon as possible.

Wearing heavy waterproof work gloves, regularly clean out the gutters and downspouts. Then, using a bristled cleaning brush, scrub away any dirt and grime which can facilitate clogs. The installation of gutter covers or screens can reduce the frequency of cleaning.
